The time has come. We have rented a cargo van and are gallavanting across the desert in search of a few good pieces of furniture. Yes, we've tried Craigslist and had a few hits but mostly misses. Yes, we've perused all the used furniture stores, fleamarkets, etc. but as Bono would say, we still haven't found what we're looking for. It's cheaper to rent a van, drive, spend the night in a scary motel, and haul everything back ourselves than it is to ship. Plus we are Craving swedish meatballs. I'm only hoping it will be open when we get there.

The Griswolds Take on Ikea

Soooo excited for you! A good friend of mine did the very same thing a couple of months ago... ended up with a ton of furniture and spent less than he would've on "crap" here. Excellent plan fo sho. WAHOO! - can't wait to see it!
