Maybe we're the ones who have it all wrong....we surround kids with soothing sounds, soft lighting, and gentle colors to create a relaxing and gentle environment. What do we get? Battlefield bedtime and unlimited energy with a side of excitement. Instead, I think you should replace the deer montage with a strobe light and discoball. You may be surprised by the outcome :)
Well, I took my children down to the docks to see the deep-sea fishing catch of the day. What was sooo exciting to me as a child merely prompted rolled eyes, yawns, and "gross, fish!", and "ok, we've seen them, let's go get a cold drink!" Yes, children have different amusements these days.
(BTW, the children now get excited about the fish....if they catch them, that is!)
Heidi is darling. Dolly would have yawned, too.
