Nesting in full force: now that Heidi has been fully outfitted for the first six months of her life in various shades of pink, bunnies, and bows, we really had to get cracking on her space. We spent all day yesterday teaming up to paint, purge, and rearrange. Our big splurge finally came via post: the deer on stretched canvas--are we bad parents for spending more on that than all the nursery furniture combined? We're still not done; a few pieces of furniture which-shall-not-be-named will require another switcharoo in the next few weeks, but it's like the Beatles said: "you've got to admit it's getting cuter...it's getting cuter all the time!"

Mom and Dad outfitted my nursery with green and white tear drops when I was born- and I actually remember the green and white and the big shapes.
I love how Heidi is such a minimalist already!! Very clean. Very crisp. Just pray she doesn't ask for a Barbie room (like I did) when she turns 4. My mom had my room decked out in Peter Rabbit and I had the audacity to ask for the equivalent of pepto-bismol to be splashed all over the walls. Thankfully she had the wisdom (and courage) to turn me down. Your taste is beautiful.
Thanks, all--we are hoping to have it essentially finished by the end of this week, though I have a feeling I'll be fussing with it until she gets here!
