Shout outs

The other night we had a completely impromptu Shrimp-fest reuinion that turned into one of my favorite Albuquerque memories yet. Last fall we celebrated "shrimp fest" at Red Lobster with these church friends, and recently decided to try a "pizza fest" in the same spirit. Afterwards Pinky & Co. came to visit our puppy along with the Lurker Lanzones, Kandid Kiwi, and either yo mama or Grant (I forget which is which).

We wandered up to the park by our house and watched our husbands explosively experiment with mentos and diet coke (a huge fad in the engineering world right now. We lit sparklers and tried to keep Una from biting the kids and swung on the swings while the sun went down. To top it all off, our friends helped us move our furniture and went to pick up our new couch!

Thanks dear friends, for making it feel like July.

Looks like you are experiencing a wonderful dose of "the fellowship of the saints."

What a blessing.

I'd have to go ahead and say that Shrimp Fest was one of the best memories of Albuquerque. Well, actually of my entire life. It was legendary.

I think that pizza fest was definitely right up there with shrimp fest - although we all parted and went out separate ways after the shrimp! This time we our festivities lasted well past the food - not to mention there was no one needing their stomaches pumped due to way too much pizza!

I am also glad to know we are on the cutting edge having already done the mentos and diet coke experiment.

We all loved the cute little Una - teeth and all!

You know I like lurking a lot more than commenting, but I can't resist. That was a great night! I have to agree, Shrimp Fest was legendary. I was nervous about trying to repeat such an amazing experience, but it certainly worked out!
