An Evening in the Parlor
For awhile husband and I went through a "sitting in the parlor" on Sundays phase, before we had children I believe. It was very Jane Austen, you know, with someone playing the piano, while two other people played cards, a third did needlework, and the drama was all whispered somewhere near the sideboard in between tea and more tea. For us it more about reading and napping...it all seems very long ago now.
Whenever I sit down to practice (which is never), this always happens. The nice thing now is that Heidi can identify classical music: "That's from Baby Deinstein!" I try to correct her, but to no avail. She will be sitting in her music appreciation class confusing Mozart with Einstein. Thank you, Disney.
Anyway, the whole point of this movie is that we finally got Elsa skipping on tape. This has been our favorite discovery of the month. You have to wait through the parlor scene, but the result is well worth it.
