Laguna Beach

Since husband got to go to a Kings game, I got to go to Laguna Beach. Yes, I watched the show, and yes, it's why I wanted to go there. For a moment I realized what it must feel like to be a Paparazzi. The whole time we were there I was gawking around trying to catch a glimpse of the gang. Every time I saw a surfer I was like, "Chase?" and everytime I saw a girl in heels with a big bag I was like, "Jess? Is that you?"

I'm debating whether or not to publish this post...

Husband kept telling me to quiet down and poor Heidi was like, "Mom, grow up!". Actually she slept deeply the whole time we were strolling and only woke up for the traffic on the way home.

All in all, though, Laguna Beach was much more laid back than the show makes it seem. It was quiet and sleepy but the views were absolutely stunning. I now get why Californians snub the other 49. And the fish tacos were the best meal of the week.

We didn't see anyone famous. Well, actually, the first picture above has some very, Very distant surfers who could possibly be famous or know someone who is.

It's a bummer we couldn't get together this time! It ended up working out well though since Andy was having some uncomfortable abdominal pain at the time and went to the emergency room the next day. Next time you're in the area, we'll have to plan another dinner date!
