Friday Night Miracles

After a long day, it was v. enjoyable to sit down w/ husband and watch this amazing documentary. We were toddlers when it all went down, and although Oliver grew up with this story, I had never heard of it. I am Really surprised it didn't make it into Billy Joel's "We didn't Start the Fire" which was the preferred the core curriculum of all my high school U.S. history teachers.

You should watch it if you're like me and you don't know much about this story. Or if you feel that there are parallels between the general feelings dominating the current state of things in our precious country and the way things seemed to feel back then. Or if you just need a good dose of beautiful, miraculous, American patriotism.

And most of all, you should watch it if you are married to a die-hard hockey fan. It will definitely help you get your empathy on.
