Ever Striving: Four Steps to Peace

More from Stepping Heavenward--four steps that lead to peace:

1. Be desirous of doing the will of another, rather than thine own.

2. Choose always to have less, rather than more.

3. Seek always the lowest place, and to be inferior to every one.

4. Wish always, and pray, that the will of God may be wholly fulfilled in thee.

Anyone disagree?

Wow, that is definitely true. The emphasis of our society today is completely the opposite. It would be very distressing strive for the four converses of what Mrs. J posted and end up unsatisfied at the end of one's life.

I agree, but there are a few instances with I am going to have to disagree with number 2 "Choose always to have less, rather than more." There are certain things, like sleep for example that more will provide us with more peace. Wait, maybe that's a bad example... because by choosing to have more sleep we might miss out on work or school which will take away from our level of peace, in theory. Here we go! I've got it! I have found the one thing to make all ya'll disagree with this! What about God? By choosing less will we in turn gain peace?

ooooooh what'dya think o' dem apples eh?

Sorry, I am in a very argumentative mood... must be e-harmony's profile... I want to prove them WRONG! Poo. Wait, I'm not sorry! We shouldn't take everything as it is. This is me standing by my response in disagreement! ;)

Yes, many people did have issues with 2 on my dear friend MM's blog as well. I think the author was thinking of things like coffee and attention in this particular case.
