Spring Break Film Recommendation

Off to Vail for my third day of snowboarding. Being the only girl in this troupe, I've spent the last few evenings soaking in Wives and Daughters which is a film adaptaion by the BBC of a british novel set in 1865. I had heard of the four part miniseries before, but never knew it was a book as well--and I intend to read at once! Although there are no wild and roving moor scenes, the study of virtue in this series is delightful. Similar to Austen there is a wide range of female examples of behavior, allowing the viewer to gauge where she is on the spectrum--and focus on where she ought to be (Molly Gibson of course). Anyway, check it out--it definitely beats playing X box.

Note: this image was originally taken from Coffeeworks Blog and offers another delightful review of the film.

Based solely on the picture I feel confident that time would be better spent on the XBox.

I'm going to go ahead and support the claim posted by yo_mamma. X Box was fun, and it was time well spent. I wonder why guys can really come together and have a good time of fellowship around X Boxes. Anybody have the answer to this?

Boo--you MUST watch it soon! In fact I think it would be good for a small women's group to do as a study on Biblical womanhood--it's not explicitly Christian, but the principles are def. Scriptural.

Yo mama & Mr. J, thank you for your thoughts.

Thanks for visiting Becky! I found my copy at the library--have you checked there yet?

Brother--you have to admit though, nothing beats Super Mario Bros. in Daniel Hamilton's basement!

New Brother - thanks for the keen insight. I did enjoy playing hockey without losing 2 liters of water!
