Time for the Big Guns

This morning Becca and I trudged up the mountain again--trying hard to start labor.

A hawk flew out a few feet over our heads, circled us several times, and landed in a small tree just above us, staring down with her protective eye. I am sure she was guarding her nest.

That's exactly the kind of thing you want to tell your kid about the day she was born.

I am now ten days late, which is not a huge surprise but with each passing day my hopes for a natural, non-interventive birth seem farther away. So please pray. If things don't happen within 48 hours we are faced with induction decisions and that will be difficult. We will need much courage and faith that God will deliver us all safely and in His perfect timing.

And we know it will all be worth it.

Summ, is that you? You look fabulous! I am praying. Heidi already has ideas of her own... I cant wait to know this little girl.

Mom sends her love and a reminder that our Johnny (the one Dad delivered at home because he came so quickly and naturally) was *three* weeks late... and was her healthiest baby and fastest delivery.

Hi there friend, I'm hoping your in labor RIGHT NOW!!! We're praying for you. Keep in mind that natural birth is great but it's okay if that doesn't happen...induction could go just fine for you. Our times are in God's hands. Hang in there!
