Great News!

I wrote a long-winded and very sentimental post about the fact that Starbucks is now carrying the George Winston and Meryl Streep version of Marjory Williams' Velveteen Rabbit.

But it was somehow lost.

It's probably better that way. But please know that this is very exciting since this beautiful recording has been out of print for oh, at least 10 years. And consider giving it as a gift for a child near you.

Yes yes yes! I picked it up like two weeks ago for a friend's brand new baby... but its Mrs. J I think of every time I see it. Didnt we listen to that many a night ourselves?

i don't know that i've ever heard a recording or read the book, but i used to have a velveteen rabbit stuffed animal when i was little. it was my favorite! i lost it and never found it, and was completely devastated over it. i'll have to go pick up a copy!

I am listening to it now! Why does it still make me cry? Such a beautiful story. Such great lessons. Is Meryl Streep really English or is that a fake accent?
